Hi
So further on to the last blog......Tuesday we did not a lot really, Wm sat on the sofa being a bit poorly, but not milking it as much as he could've!
Wed am - Wm up ok, but BC had to be pretty much dragged out of bed! I had sorted out the food for the journey to Scotland, but first we had to attend fracture clinic on the "Dark Side". They removed his pot, declared it to be a tiny break, and said it would heal better in collar and cuff than in a pot. We finally got on our way to Scotland after 11am!
We sped all the way to Hexham, where we met my parents in the Tesco's car park. They had had a cuppa, we had a loo break, then back into the fog on the A68 to carry on upto the B&B I had booked for me and the kids.
We had a quick tea of fish/chips for BC, jumbo sausage and chips for me(2), and just chips for Wm. Then went on up to Aunties, we had the typical reception of "you'll have had your tea??" they were just about to tuck into home made fish and chips.
After watching a bit of telly in the B&B I managed to get kids up to bed at 10pm!
Thursday we had a cooked breakfast then down into town for supplies to get us home, pop and crisps! I got into a wool shop, I got 4 balls of best alpaca wool, now I can't decide what to make - scarf for me or baby blanket for cousin's baby to be???
We had a trip to The Museum of Flight and a walk around Concorde.
Then down to North Berwick for Ice Cream, though it was a bit bloody freezing and foggy, still you can't go to the sea side without getting ice cream.
We had high tea with loads of family for Auntie's 70th Birthday, loads of family turned up which was good.
The biddies took all the left overs (ie scones, millionaires slice, fruit cake) away with them, well they had paid for them!
We set off back down the A1 about 6.45 pm and arrived back at the ranch at 10.50pm. Hubby had not fed the cats, the guinea pigs or the dog!
Mind you I do believe that the dog has had the cakes from one of the bags we brought back, if she has she has consummed the napkins they were wrapped in as well!
The Monster-in-law is getting a new hip in next 3-4 weeks, although her bp is high and she has a heart murmur. We'll see!
At work now, been fairly busy but a fun night so far.
The Doc has been in contact, he wants to meet up Sunday am, though I want to go see BF then, so we'll see what happens there.
Bye for now x x x x
